Synopsis & Historical Value
Die blou uur is an Afrikaans romance novel published by Human & Rousseau in 1999 under the pen name Christine le Roux. It follows Klarissa du Toit, a crime writer who agrees to stand in as a bride for a friend's man and then falls in love with him.
Her husband's work as a criminologist begins to drive a wedge between them, and she leaves for Scotland to consider her future. The story sets an intimate emotional drama against a change of scene far from home.
Christine le Roux was one of the pen names of the popular Afrikaans author Eleanor Baker, and her romances formed a notable part of Afrikaans popular fiction in the 1990s. This is a collectible used copy for readers and collectors of Afrikaans fiction.
