Synopsis & Historical Value
Blou sjokolade is the third novel in Christien Neser's humorous, romantic teen series about Elle Kroon, which began with Kondensmelk and continued with Koshuiskoffie. Each book can be read on its own.
Elle is a boarding-school girl who is in love and has won a good place in the school orchestra. She is also looking forward to a trip to France. When plans go wrong, she must trade them for a tough hiking expedition, and the story follows how she copes.
The series has found a loyal readership among teenagers and also among adult readers. This title is now out of print, which makes this used copy of interest to those completing or revisiting the Elle books in Afrikaans.
