Synopsis & Historical Value

Published by Headline in London in 2008, Tackling Life: Striving for Perfection is Jonny Wilkinson's second book, following My World of 2004. Written with Steve Black, it is both a rugby autobiography and a reflective guide to personal achievement.

The book looks at life after England's 2003 World Cup triumph, in which Wilkinson scored the winning drop goal. He describes his search for purpose beyond the game and his relentless pursuit of perfection, and opens up about his darkest moments. Alongside this he sets out practical steps towards success, drawing on questionnaires completed by other sportspeople.

A collectible copy for those who follow English rugby history and the career of one of the sport's most celebrated players.
