Synopsis & Historical Value

Published in 1993, Nick Farr-Jones: The Authorised Biography follows the life and career of the Wallabies scrum-half and captain Nick Farr-Jones, from his beginnings as a Sydney schoolboy to his leadership of Australian rugby during one of its most successful periods.

The book traces his World Cup-winning captaincy and the Grand Slam tour, and is written with the subject's cooperation. A quote on the back cover from former Wallabies coach Bob Dwyer praises it as a perceptive rugby biography.

An early sports biography by Peter FitzSimons, it is a sound collectible for admirers of Australian rugby and of the Wallabies' golden era. This copy carries a warm, personal inscription from a father to his son, which adds human interest.
