Synopsis & Historical Value
Published in 2013, Die Berge Waaroor Afrikaners Klim is a deeply intellectual and highly objective study written by Dr Louis du Plessis. Pulling from his vast background in political science and military strategy, the author explores the intricate historical, socio-political, and philosophical "mountains" that the Afrikaner community has had to navigate through past eras into the modern South African landscape.
Moving beyond superficial cultural commentary, Du Plessis delivers a rigorous academic look at minority group identity, self-determination, structural political changes, and social survival. He explores complex issues of governance, cultural preservation, and national security with sharp analytical precision. For collectors of contemporary Africana, South African political philosophy, and modern cultural history, this scarce volume stands as an invaluable and deeply insightful addition to the shelf.
