Synopsis & Historical Value

The British & Irish Lions Miscellany, by Richard Bath and published in London by Vision Sports Publishing in 2008, is a fact-based miscellany covering around 120 years of the history of the British & Irish Lions, the rugby union side drawn from players eligible for England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

The book gathers tour histories, team lists, statistics, player profiles, anecdotes and quotations, with the humour and tradition of Lions touring life running through it. Black and white caricature illustrations by Bob Bond lighten the pages.

A compact and entertaining reference for supporters, it will appeal to anyone who follows the Lions. This copy carries a personal inscription and signature, adding a touch of human interest to a well-kept example.
