Published in Cape Town by Sunbird Publishing in 2001, Africa's Big Cats and Other Carnivores is a photographic celebration of the continent's great predators. Wildlife photographer Nigel Dennis presents lion, leopard and cheetah alongside smaller cats such as caracal and serval, as well as wild dogs and spotted hyena.

Author Profile: Nigel Dennis

Nigel Dennis is a British-born wildlife photographer who has travelled and photographed throughout southern Africa for many years. His images have appeared in leading magazines, including National Geographic, Time, Geo, BBC Wildlife and Terre Sauvage.

He has produced a long list of wildlife and nature books, among them The Kalahari: Survival in a Thirstland Wilderness, Where to Watch Game in the Kruger National Park and Meerkats.
