Synopsis & Historical Value
Verwoerdburg: 'n Terugblik (Verwoerdburg: a retrospective) is an Afrikaans local history published in 1983 and looks back on the town of Verwoerdburg, named after Hendrik Verwoerd. The town lies near Pretoria and is today part of Centurion.
As a printed record of a place whose name and identity changed after 1994, the book is of interest to collectors of Afrikaner heritage, Transvaal local history and the story of Pretoria's surrounding towns. This copy is a first edition, first printing, retained in its original dust jacket.
