Synopsis & Historical Value
The Revelation is the fifth and final volume in Beverly Lewis's Abram's Daughters series, published by Bethany House Publishers in 2005. Set among the Old Order Amish of Pennsylvania, it brings the Ebersol sisters together again for one last journey and draws the saga to its close.
Jonas Mast has given Leah Ebersol reason to hope that she may at last have a second chance at happiness. Yet a secret threatens to surface that could divide the Mast and Ebersol families, and the story follows its consequences across three generations of a close-knit community.
The novel is a good example of the Amish fiction that Lewis helped to establish as a popular genre. It will appeal to readers completing the series and to collectors of Beverly Lewis and of Christian fiction.
