Synopsis & Historical Value
Survivor vir jongmense (Survivor for Young People), subtitled Volgelinge van Jesus (Followers of Jesus), is an Afrikaans Christian devotional and Bible-study book written for young readers. It was published by Christelike Uitgewersmaatskappy, Vereeniging, in 2005.
The book builds on the picture of five soldiers lost in a jungle and hunted by an enemy, using their ordeal as an image of the believer's struggle. Readers are encouraged to take up prayer and Bible study as their weapons and to be survivors for Jesus.
