Land of Sorrow, written and compiled by the Deputy General Secretary of Solidarity, Dr Dirk Hermann, and the Assistant Chief Director of TAU SA, Major General Chris van Zyl, describes a total of 1 363 murders that occurred during 2 617 attacks on farms and smallholdings from 1990 to 2010. Owing to it shocking contents, the book has an age restriction of 18.
According to Hermann, the book pays tribute to the farmers and farm workers and their families who were affected by the attacks.
