Synopsis & Historical Value

How Weapons Work is a lavishly illustrated survey that explains the technology behind military weapons. Coverage runs across small arms and ammunition, artillery, tanks, aircraft, warships, bombs and missiles, with cutaway diagrams and photographs showing the inner workings of each.

Edited by the military and aviation writer Christopher Chant and published by Marshall Cavendish, the book is a good example of the richly illustrated military reference works of the 1970s and 1980s. It remains a useful visual reference for readers interested in weapons technology and the history of ordnance.

This second-printing copy is a clean, bright example in illustrated wrappers and will suit militaria libraries and collectors of illustrated reference works.
