This book celebrates the magnificence of Africa's largest inhabitants, but also sounds a warning about their future on the continent in the face of population and environmental pressures. The text and photographs depict elephants through their daily life and their life-cycle. There are elephants at play, feeding, drinking, communicating, mating, fighting and resting; elephants in herds and solitary bull elephants; elephants in deserts, grasslands and forests. Other work by the author includes "Predators of Southern Africa" and "Kaokoveld - The Last Wilderness".
Sy boeke oor die natuur sluit in: Predators of Southern Africa, Kaokoveld: The Last Wilderness en A day in the Life of an African Elephant.
