Ian Hogg as always delivers well, in this book he looks at the military machine that helped to secure the independence of the Jewish State while also allowing it to defeat its numerically superior neighbors in several wars.
Written in a time when Israel still had a 'good guy' depiction across much of the World and when its military was a near perfect blitzing force capable beyond its size and logistical resources.
Despite its age this is a good book which looks at the key men of the IDF, its more prominent machines and the battle tactics used in each conflict of its then near forty year history.
