Synopsis & Historical Value
MCC Masterclass: The New MCC Coaching Book was published in London by Weidenfeld and Nicolson in 1994. It is an illustrated coaching manual written by Tony Lewis, the former England captain, and it covers the core skills of the game: batting, bowling and fielding, along with wicketkeeping and captaincy.
The book draws on the contributions and advice of leading international players, among them Boycott, Bedi, Hadlee, Richards and Rhodes. Black-and-white photographs and diagrams accompany the instruction throughout, and the large, tall format gives the illustrations room.
This is a clean, well-kept copy in its original dust jacket, suited to cricket collectors, coaches and readers of the game's literature.
