Mille Miglia, Mexico, Testarossa, 250 GTO and Dino Ñ just a few of the evocative names used by Ferrari over the years Ñ all are included in this book. Enzo Ferrari was a leading figure on the road racing scene between World War I and II, going on to build his own cars from the late 1940s. From the start, his cars, whether for road or race circuit, were exotic, advanced and exciting, rapidly building a legend that continues to this day. Italian style and flair shone from the bodies of Ferrari cars thanks to the skills and inspiration of the leading coachwork firms. All looked great and set a standard that others tried to emulate, mostly unsuccessfully. Ferrari road cars from 1947 to the supercars of the 1990s are illustrated in this book. Competition and Formula 1 are included as those successes are as much a part of the firm's history as the magnificent road models.
