Brando captures the many bewildering contradictions within the man, exploring his childhood and separating myth from fact, following him through his rise to success on the American stage playing Stanley Kowalski in a streetcar named desire, and then into the movies where Brando repeated his portrayal of Kowalski in a screen version and made such memorable pictures as On the Waterfront, Julius Caesar(as Mark Antony) and one-eyed Jacks, which he also directed.
