Used - Very Good+. This book is in very good condition. The wraps have some slight/limited signs of wear but the pages are clean, intact and the spine remains undamaged. There is very slight curling at the corners and previous owner name neatly inscribed on first page.This book has clearly been well maintained and looked after thus far.
This work is a reference for military information regarding opposing forces and other key features of war. The handbook supplies detail on subjects including: the Boer forces; the British Army; the Royal Navy; the battles, deployment and reorganization of forces; decorations and medals; casualties and war graves; black, Indian and coloured participation; blockhouses and concentration camps; and accoutrements and cost of the war.

Hall (d 1996), a South African and former member of the British Army, was an amateur authority on artillery. He carried out research in libraries and private archives in South Africa to write this history of the Boer War in South Africa.
