Danie Craven was a legendary South African rugby player, coach, and administrator, widely known as "Mr. Rugby" or "Doc". He was a prominent scrum-half for the Springboks, a highly successful national coach, and served as the longest-serving president of the South African Rugby Board. Craven was also a distinguished academic with three doctorates and the first professor of physical education at Stellenbosch University.
